From Western Journalism:
A woman who attended Sunday night’s country music festival in Las Vegas gave reasons why she believes there was possibly more than one shooter.
Gail Davis called into radio talk show host Michael Savage’s program on Wednesday and said that she and her husband were among the crowd of thousands when the gunfire began.
They quickly ran to the vendor tent area within the venue looking for a way to flee the killing zone. A Las Vegas police officer then pulled them under one of the tents to at least get them out of the line of sight.
“The thing that we noticed, my husband noticed too and I think even the metro police officer, there were shots that were higher pitched,” she told Savage. “There were shots that were lower sounding, and they were going at the same time, and the lower shots were getting closer to us, and I’m thinking, ‘Oh my God, somebody walking in the crowd is spraying their gun back and forth and shooting people.’”
“The one that was lower kept getting closer sounding to us,” she added. “To me, it sounded like somebody was walking from the crowd from west to east, through the crowd and shooting.”
Davis offered the qualification multiple times that she is not claiming to be a gun expert and was never in the military, but emphasized the gunfire, seemingly from different weapons, was happening simultaneously.
She then gave another reason for why she thought there may have been more than one gunman.
Davis recounted how a woman literally inches behind her was shot in the stomach.
Davis explained that both of them were standing perpendicular to the Mandalay Bay Hotel where the alleged gunman Stephen Paddock was shooting down on the crowd from the 32nd floor. She said both of them had their right shoulders toward the hotel, yet the woman was shot straight through her stomach, above the belly button.
“How could a bullet be coming from our right, which was on our west, we’re facing direct south, the bullet would have to come straight up and make a 90 degree turn and go into her stomach?” the eye witness wondered.
Savage commended Davis for telling her story.
“She was actually shot at. She’s not a late night cry baby comedian making believe he knows what the hell he’s talking about,” Savage said.
At a press conference on Wednesday, Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo stated that Paddock likely had help preparing for the crime, but officials have stated multiple times they believe he was the lone gunman.
“He had to have some help at some point,” Lombardo told reporters. “Maybe he’s a super-guy. … Maybe he’s super-yahoo, was working out all this on his own, but it would be hard for me to believe that.”
Meanwhile Undersheriff Kevin McMahill conveyed that they have no information at this point to believe there was more than one shooter.
“We are aware of the rumors outside of the media and also on social media,” he said, “that there was more than one assailant. We have no information or evidence to support that theory or that rumor. We believe there was only one shooter and that was Stephen Paddock.”
