From Allen B. West:
We live in an age where we can transmit our thoughts to millions of people with just the click of a button. Social media has revolutionized the way we share ideas with each other, making communication easier than it’s ever been. However, the ability to quickly fire off our latest thought does come with a downside, especially for famous politicians and athletes. In the age of social media, it’s crucial to think before tweeting.
In the latest example of social media gaffes, Chelsea Clinton tweeted out some harsh words for President Trump. That alone isn’t very surprising. After all, Clinton’s mother was defeated by Trump in the 2016 election. Sadly for Clinton, she’s learning that some of those tweets can backfire pretty quickly.
During an interview earlier this week on FOX Business with Maria Bartiromo, President Donald Trump misspoke when he detailed the moment he told China’s President Xi about the missile strike on Syria. It seems that Trump accidentally said Iraq but included the detail that they were eating a “beautiful piece of chocolate cake” at the time.
Enter Chelsea Clinton.
It didn’t take long for Twitter to call her out on the hypocrisy:
And who could forget that it was Chelsea who couldn’t recall that she was one of the first ones to find out about the Benghazi terrorist attack. That didn’t stop her mother from lying to the American people about it:
Of course, President Trump’s comments were just a momentary slip of the tongue. That’s far less important to a family of serial liars who will do anything it takes to gain power. Of course, Chelsea Clinton didn’t remember any of that. Thankfully, Twitter took the time to kindly remind her.
