Team Obama Advises Trump to “BACK OFF” Supporting Iran Protests

Obama era political hacks “appointees” have a lot of nerve sticking their noses in where they don’t belong, after having led the most disastrous U.S. foreign policy since Jimmy Carter during the former president’s 8 year tenure of weakness and appeasement to our worst enemies.

Let us all take a moment to remember Obama’s infamous “arab spring” in which the U.S. for some inexplicable reason took the side of Islamic Radicals at every turn over secular governments in the Middle East. Taking somewhat moderate and even U.S. friendly governments and pushing for Islamic Radicals to take over wherever possible. The best example would be Obama’s support of the Muslim Brotherhood takeover in Egypt following the people’s uprising against the secular and U.S. friendly Mubarak regime.

Where as in Iran, where an Islamic Regime was already in power, Obama did NOT support the popular uprising by the Iranian people against it back in 2009. Isn’t that interesting? One can almost think that Obama wanted to spread the cancer of radical Islam wherever he could. Do we even need to mention Obama’s support for ISIS by allowing them to propagate and even ARMING them under the guise of supporting “moderate rebels”. Y’all get the picture.

And so now these same criminally incompetent losers who destabilized the entire world with their failed policies have decided to chime in on the current situation, condemning our president for SUPPORTING the current populist uprising by the people of Iran against the evil Islamic regime that’s been oppressing them for decades. What is it with these Obama hacks and their love for evil radical Islamists regimes?

It’s truly amazing what America had to put up with during the Obama era.

Several key advisers to former President Barack Obama have poured scorn on President Donald Trump’s support for the protests sweeping Iran in recent days.

In 2009, when the “Green Revolution” threatened the Iranian regime, Obama and his administration refrained from supporting the protests. Obama said that “we respect Iranian sovereignty and want to avoid the United States being the issue inside of Iran.”

That weak response, and the administration’s general lack of support for the demonstrators, allowed the regime to consolidate power.

Obama was more concerned with preserving the possibility of an eventual deal on Iran’s nuclear program than he was in removing the Iranian regime as a strategic threat or in standing up for human rights. Critics charge that Obama missed a golden opportunity.

President Trump has taken the opposite approach, vigorously supporting the protests and criticizing the regime:

But the Obama brain trust rejects Trump’s approach, and apparently believes the approach Obama took in 2009 remains the best one.

Former National Security Advisor Susan Rice tweeted a New York Times op-ed by former Obama aide Philip Gordon, “How Can Trump Help Iran’s Protesters? Be Quiet.” The author argues that supporting the protests, and taking steps to end the Iran nuclear deal, will only help the regime to delegitimize its internal opponents.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who was in office during the Green Revolution, was more supportive of the protesters, but said merely that she “hope[d]” the Iranian regime would listen to them.

Her successor, John Kerry, endorsed Obama’s 2009 position once more, stating that “it’s an Iranian moment and not anyone else’s.”
